@izaya ah, I haven't finished the first yet. Comparing the book to the show hasn't been as compelling as I thought it'd be.

@2ck it's all the little things, more idea of character thoughts, extra details in descriptions
you can guess the broad strokes of what characters are thinking in a TV show but the exact words really help make the characters easier to understand
