@meshell awful in what way? Never read, but Wendig has been on my radar for a little while.

@2ck @meshell @bookstodon I have not read Wendig's fiction, because it was marketed as horror and I am not up for that. (His books on the craft of writing were well done.) But it seems odd to see someone complaining that a book sold as horror turned out to be horrific

@meshell @bookstodon It was described as a horror novel when it came out. That is why I did not read it.
@elysegrasso It was nominated for a Bram Stoker award, so that would seem to put it in the horror category.
@2ck there was a pretty graphic description of sexual assault that I think was unnecessary for character development or whatever he was going for. YMMV.
