This night one year ago I was sitting at my father's bed, watching him die due to contact with asbestos he had 40 years ago as dental technician. Injecting him morphine every four hours so he could sleep. Rest in peace, dad!

@mutax What little shred of humanity I have left weeps for you and hopes your father rests in peace and you find solace, but my morbid curiosity has to know: what do (or more likely, did) dental technicians do with asbestos?

@4of92000 @mutax some asbestos was in their tables to make them fire proof, some was mixed into the plaster molds they made and broke apart after use and they had some kind of tape with asbestos to protect parts of the dental models and metal parts they built when soldering/welding. Did you know asbestos is still being used in the US for example?

@4of92000 @mutax the banned asbestos not long after they had used it, but this time was enough for him to breathe in too much of the dust.
