Has anyone heard anything either way about PeerTube (joinpeertube.org/en/)? LBRY seems to be a better shot for me (especially since it actually has some big names like Mother's Basement, Minute Physics and Jordan Peterson on it already), but I don't know.

Fewer Sexual Partners Before Marriage Yield Greater Happiness in Marriage: Study

New research reveals that marriages are quantifiably happier if the couple had fewer sexual partners prior to their wedding day.

The targeted assassination of Gab.ai is a nice little reminder of the value of decentralized platforms.

Google changing slogan to "Be Evil" :

Google built a prototype of a censored search engine for China that links users’ searches to their personal phone numbers... Google compiled a censorship blacklist that included terms such as “human rights,” “student protest,” and “Nobel Prize” in Mandarin.

Stalin? Really?

Stalin is the *only* communist leader you could think of? A dictator that was responsible for the deaths of millions.

Literally no one else did state communism.

Heard an interview today about how outrage can be addictive and a trap, stops us from being able to #reachacross... CW for length...

Andrew Klavan interviewed Glen Beck, of all people. I hadn't heard Beck in a few years. I think he has a new book he was plugging about outrage and how it can be both addictive and counter productive. His estimate was that maybe 15% of each end of the spectrum may just want society to be torn down, and don't want to productively engage. While sad, that leaves 70% who should focus on reaching across and understanding each other. I think his idea is that a much smaller percent than 70 is needed to be transformational, that we should be focused on reaching across to each other in constructive dialog and not get engaged in the outrage trap.

I don't know how much I agree or disagree with Beck on issues, but this is something I can get on board with. Glad has this mindset. It could have a wide ranging impact.

I bought a new laptop off of Amazon and it works wonderfully, except that the battery doesn't work at all. Could something be loose inside that I can fix myself, or should I call the seller and ask for at least a partial refund?

I like how "that's shit" and "that's the shit" mean opposite things.

Articles 11 and 13 are shit. I want to do something about it. I am American.

Someone help me out here.

The Article 13 fight is back. I'm American, so I can't do all that much, but if you're in the EU please email your MEP to make sure it's rejected.

@4of92000 @freemo I guess you owe them sympathy and empathy. Like everyone else.

Though one of the nice things about BitTube is that it actually loads on my computer, which both LBRY and DTube refuse to do.

Not really sure what BitTube offers in terms of video hosting that BitChute, DTube and LBRY don't already. Maybe just stapling together their trademark features? (Which, to be fair, is a pretty nice deal in and of itself.)

Though right now nobody's on it, which is the big issue.
