@EC_REA

On Monday we had a Q&A session about the ongoing AI4Life Open Call.
Here is a thread of the hottest questions we received…

1) What will you do with my data?
We need open access to only the parts of your data required to work out a solution for your problem together. All your data is and remains yours. If you publish later on, we like to see being acknowledged. If our collaboration enabled the work you publish, we would be delighted to also become co-authors and contribute to the technical sections if that would help. Science as you know it! 🙂

2) What will you publish yourself after helping us?
If the method we develop with and for you is interesting enough to become a paper on its own, we will be delighted to publish it together with you. The work would not exist without you, hence, you must be part of it. 👍

3) This sounds too good to be true… where is the catch?
No catch! We’re funded by the European Commission to do a number of things that help our community to analyze bioimage data. We work on standards, the model zoo, reusable and open software, and the open calls are meant to showcase it all on practical examples. Everyone wins! 🥇
