@JPR I use the handle "Absinthe" and have done so on many bulletin boards and forums for years (since 1989). It is a liquor that gained popularity some time ago, but when it threatended the French Wine industry it got banned because it contained a chemical called Thujone from the wormwood it was made with (Artemesia Absinthum) Not too long ago, it was determined that the safe levels of such a thing were not exceeded by the product as it was generally made. So it is available all over now. Anyway, there are a whole lot of posters and other artwork about the liquor itself, and one of the nicknames of the liquor is La fee verte because it was said to cause hallucinations. Probably had more to do with the 140 proof nature of it than the actual thujone content.
