I've noticed a pattern in mass popular culture publication and promotion.

Celebrity content creator figurehead appears in mainstream media for some inconsequential but slightly controversial reason.

The water cooler conversations are about "did you hear about $CELEB and $THING"..

A week later everyone is talking about something else and it is forgotten.

A further week later.. $CELEB has a new book film thing out
