@QasimRashid In countries where guns are hard to obtain, people make their own. Bombs are easy to make using ordinary household products. Same for poisons and poison gasses. Do we ban pantyhose because women get strangled with their own pantyhose? Do we ban cars because people drive them into crowds?
Address the issue - not the symptom. Shootings are symptom - not the issue. Address the reason WHY people are killing each other but of course it's the preferred tactic of spinless people to ban the tool and claim the problem is solved without having attempted to solve the problem.
@britishtechguru @QasimRashid where is your evidence of this happening on the scale of US mass shootings? Bringing up other countries is self-refuting, when you compare the gross difference in numbers. Do you think other countries don’t have bullies, mental illness, violent video games, secularized schools, absent parents, poor role models, or all the other proposed causes? Is it your contention that America simply has the worst, most damaged people around?
@AmberWavesofFlame @QasimRashid America is and always has been a violent country where problem have been solved by killing opponents. In that way America has more in common with Africa, Afghanistan and similar countries than with the civilized nations of Europe. Remember, America has not had more than a couple of hundred years to become as peaceful as the countries of Europe - many of which have been pretty stable for a couple of thousands years it's a baby still finding it's feet in those terms.
@britishtechguru @QasimRashid so your best plan is to wait an unknown number of generations, while meanwhile not exercising responsibility over what this uniquely immature and bloodthirsty people can get their hands on, regardless of the consequences?
