This has been a long-standing thought of mine and I ironically finally posted it at the one place that has a wide range of potential choices natively and now I feel so dumb. And yeah, there’s some potential choices for some situations. Is there a way to search them?

In need of a better Confused emoji. Several ? above a head, or something along those lines. This guy 🤔 is great for, say, sarcastic thoughtfulness, and the shrug is a great shrug, but neither gives that “utterly baffled and lost here/genuinely no idea what you are getting at” energy I find myself w more often than I should admit.

Spelling it out is actually harder than it sounds because much of the same language is recycled by the mocking and the passive-aggressive. I need Tone.

Had the impression it was getting much worse; the antis seem confident lately that a reluctant consensus has formed behind them that the vaccines don’t help with transmission, don’t help with infection, and that the battle is now whether the moderation of symptoms during a window of a few months is worth a mounting evidence of risk. Startling to realize how disconnected their circles are from the real world.
