Norway has a high standard of living but i wouldn't describe the government as being as particularly competent. that's the main issue with the government in my opinion. how inept and ineffective it is. everything's half-assed, including disaster preparedness.
@thor no government is. To be a successful politician you have to be a spineless manipulative sociopath and that's the people who always end up in positions of power.
@Amikke they seem to do better in Switzerland. every Norwegian i've talked to who has been to Switzerland is impressed at how well-run the place seems to be.
