I feel like the most pragmatic thing from a game console point of view would be to make the device a solid box or rectangle or something and fill it with the best components available within a price-point in order to absolutely dominate in performance and capability. So, essentially, a PC.

@adiz @coolboymew IIRC they’re even very similar to desktop computers in terms of architecture. Think they even run something very similar to w*ndows and the original xbox could even boot linux with minimal effort.
@VD15 @coolboymew @adiz the xbox OS is a virtualised abomination based on Windows Core, which is a slightly stripped down version of plain desktop Windows. You could probably run linux on it without issue if the system wasn’t super locked-up precisely to prevent that.
@Amikke @coolboymew @adiz you can apparently just re-flash the OG xbox, but I’d be surprised if there was any exploit on the 360 or later considering there’s barely any point in the first place
