@BrodieOnLinux Bad analogy. Not setting purposeful restrictions "for your own good" is completely different to explicitly implementing dumb workaround hacks for the sake of a single user.

@Hyolobrika It's less about protecting you and more about AMD protecting themself, they don't want to deal with a stupid user reporting a bug or bricking there GPU by setting a really low voltage

Then put a warning saying that certain values are set at the user's risk and please don't annoy the devs about it.
