@VD15 Hard to say who's more of a feetfag, he who comes up with an entirely new word to talk about toes or he who considers toes to be in the same level as fingers so he sees no need to use a different word.

@FUCKINGWHOCARESDUDE @Kerosene @VD15 not making a specific word for something usually means it's not important and not discussed often enough so that describing it isn't too inconvenient. So definitely the 1st one.

@Amikke @Kerosene @VD15 There are specific words for all kinds of things that are discussed infrequently. Imagine thinking that toes are on the same level as fingers.

@FUCKINGWHOCARESDUDE @Kerosene @VD15 but there are scarcely often discussed concepts that don't have a word. So a language that doesn't have a word for toes doesn't give a shit for sure. A language that does probably does.

When you say "palce" in Polish it's assumed you mean the hand kind of fingers, the existence of toes is ignored.

@Amikke @Kerosene @VD15 You're still putting toes on the same level as much more important appendages. Imagine lacking a word for basic physiology.

You don't call your fucking knee "the elbow of the leg" because it's a different fucking thing, and it's acknowledged that it's a different thing.

@FUCKINGWHOCARESDUDE @Kerosene @VD15 neither language also has a word for balling your toes into a "fist" because it doesn't matter. Also things like knees and ankles look very different and have very different functionality, toes are very obviously short stubby fingers, they even have nails. That's important considering the time when these languages evolved. And knees and ankles are actually important and come up in casual speech, with toes you can totally get away with the extended "fingers of the leg" because again, they don't matter and are rarely talked about. At least in the red countries, apparently.

@Amikke @Kerosene @VD15 >neither language also has a word for balling your toes into a "fist" because it doesn't matter.

Because toes don't make a fist.
Because they're not fingers.
Which the red countries apparently don't acknowledge.
