i went to preheat the tiny little saucepan and when i put the milk in it smoked all woosh :neocat_0_0:

then set it to 200 with the external probe. i guess that part works because the milk became very angy (lol what are boiling points :neocat_melt:)

anyway the cooktop is christened (i made hot choccy)

@icedquinn what did you use previously, ceramic? I had a similar experience switching from ceramic to gas (moving apartaments), suddenly things heat up hella fast.

@Amikke i think its an electric with a ceramic top? not sure. came with the apartment.

got a nuwave pic diamond. first induction top i've been able to melt butter without sending everything to hell. (we had a commercial thing for a while but those are really meant for super heavy pans with heavy loads and their thermal adjustability is poor.)
