Today’s breakfast at a Budapest hospital. This is the reality of #Hungary under authoritarian Orbán.

Just for comparison, this is what I had for lunch, when I was in a Belgian hospital 6 years ago.

More meals in #Hungary's hospitals...

Salt soup (also served to patients with high blood pressure); dry bread & dry bun (which you can cut if you brought your own knife), packets of apple sauce (with 11g of sugar but still served to those with diabeties) and low-grade paté.

@andrewstroehlein That's weird: you complain about salty soup, but you don't complain about beer. Even though you could be prescribed antibiotics

@liilliil @andrewstroehlein note how he explicitly noted that the salt soup is also served to patients with high blood pressure. It's natural that a hospital will serve something to patient A that could harm patient B, it's impossible to fit all cases with the same food. The problem is when it doesn't properly handle that.

@Amikke @andrewstroehlein I get that, I'm asking how alcohol combines with antibiotics? Or do they not give beer to post-op patients?
