Any retard on poast could have told you this. Equipment which is good for bombing afghan weddings is terrible against long-medium range air defenses. Non-disposable non-recon drones have nothing that would qualify them for the battlefield, definitely not for the role they're being used.
There's no such thing as a 'drone,' it's just a remote-controlled plane that can't maneuver and has inadequate countermeasures to basic anti-air.
@Bunny The Russians have become very good as shooting drones down. I think their kill count is now 90+.
@Aether They've shot down every single drone the Ukrainians have so many times. They started with like 30, all of them were shot down, they ordered a bunch more, they all got shot down...
I've stopped counting tbh. The fact the US is contemplating $10 million drones, as if that was the issue, is just funny to me.
@Bunny The Turkish drones are the kebab of the drone world. Cheap and not that good.

The American ones do have a higher pay load (1,300 kg vs 150 kg) but they have never been used against an adversary with proper air defences. It is unclear if they will be a game changer at this point.

Meanwhile there has been a partial mutiny in the AFU ranks with soldiers refusing to go to the front and collapse in the AFU front line north of Toshkivka
@Aether I’ve heard about the lischansk pocket forming. It looks like that sector of the front is getting ready to collapse, and there’s another encirclement they’re talking about an encirclement near Nikolaev? It’s been a while since I looked, but they’re farther north than I thought they were a month ago.
It looks like they’re moving in both directions plus Kharkov, I think the Ukrainians are becoming undone.
@Bunny The Russians made a break through yesterday and have encircled about 2000 soldiers in Zolote and have moved as far as Vovchoyarivka

From what I can tell the AFU 57th Brigade broke and retreated. Also about 800 soldiers that had been rotated out of the Lischansk cauldron refused to return as they considered it a suicide mission. Could trigger a route in the front lines as 17,000 soldiers are in danger from getting encircled in lischansk.
@Aether 😳
17,000? I didn’t even know that. This is huge, this is like a second Mariupol without the Azovstal plant to drag things out.
What a horrible war. At some point someone has to drag Zelensky out of his office and redact him. This can’t go on. Tens of thousands of people encircled at a time, I mean this is how you get the dissolution of the Ukrainian army.
I almost can’t believe we’re witnessing it in real life. The dissolution of a modern military, encirclements in the tens of thousands, this war has been described as the equivalent of a battle in WWII, I’m starting to agree. This doesn’t feel like an old, 20th century, proxy war, it’s starting to look like a real war.
Eventually Russia is going to break through Donbass, and then I think Ukraine is going to feel some real pain. Zaporizhzhya is next besides Kharkov, and I don’t think they’ll be able to defend it as well, and once Russia gets into the interior, I think it’s over for Ukraine. Donbass was heavily dug in, I just don’t think they can do large-scale in the open fighting.

@Bunny @Aether So is it time to point out how China said for both sides to approach this with extreme restraint?
