for some reason my new coworker """knew""" that Im the sort of guy who likes asmr stuff so asked me for good microphones for it cuz his wife wants to do that stuff. I dont know what to say. This was my first day working with him.

@igelsQTs Say it depends on the application. No setup is going to work well for everyone.

@igelsQTs When I worked a soundboard it was more important to properly tune the settings on a channel. I think it was like 24 that I was supposed to watch and that's not the secondary board which I also had to manage.

My point is that I have only seen one instance of hardware being so bad that I had to cut it. It was malfunctioning and had to be replaced. Even inexpensive equipment can sound great if the Audio Engineer? knows what they are doing. That was also with older equipment. The DSPs and other processing can do a lot with the sound that I didn't have the equipment to do.

That was around 50,000USD in equipment that I regularly touched. I guess ASMR is more about listening to frequencies that are generally unpleasant. So no cut outs on those frequencies which would need dual sampling to minimize interference with DSP.

I've had enough good experience with Beringer to blindly recommend all of the equipment they use to be made by them. It might not be the best but they have just worked with anything I've done in the past.

@AmpBenzScientist if she can figure out how to filter out most of the background noise with software ill already be impressed
