for some reason my new coworker """knew""" that Im the sort of guy who likes asmr stuff so asked me for good microphones for it cuz his wife wants to do that stuff. I dont know what to say. This was my first day working with him.

@igelsQTs Say it depends on the application. No setup is going to work well for everyone.

@AmpBenzScientist I did say that. But he doesnt want to spend much money on it so I just said buy a yeti cuz thats how all the low budget asmr people start

@igelsQTs That doesn't sound very German. Idk it's their problem and I don't think you want to volunteer yourself to be their Audio Engineer and have to see what is going on.

I've heard good things about Yeti. It should be good enough. I hope it is not ASMR turbines.

@igelsQTs Depending on the model it might have better DSP capabilities than x86-64 if it can't do it natively.

@AmpBenzScientist I had a mac at my last employer and still had to manually select and filter some noise out so youd hear no weird buzzing from the computer

@igelsQTs That shouldn't happen. There must have been some failing electronics nearby to get that kind of interference. Perhaps a poor ground quality where you were plugged in?
