OMG, compile times in UE3 are always worse than I remember.
@thendrix They probably just added stuff, CPU microcode patched and possible performance decline.
Time for a retired Xeon server to shine.
@AmpBenzScientist I don't think UE3 even got updates in 2009 IIRC. Pretty fragmented implementations from studio to studio, so they have to use specialists to fix stuff. :3
@AmpBenzScientist ie The real problem is the engine is poorly designed with a lot of OOD and other bad ideas.
@AmpBenzScientist No, Quake was mostly ANSI C as I recall. It didn't even use C++.
@thendrix Idk why I thought that. It's crazy to think about games being made in assembly too.
