opensource doesnt mean trustable/safe, youre literally trusting some randoms anons on the world to manage your PC packages compared ot Windows/Mac which are done by proffesionals
This is why it's important to *read the source code* / and have people *in your community* read the source code from time to time and to actually putz around and make sure it does what it's supposed to

It's not good enough to trust critical software to just "random anons", it is *social solidarity* which is the important aspect of free software that allows for a trusted OS to be built
