Special request:
Recommendation for highly skilled and experienced leather tailor.
I inherited a leather coat from my father. It's about 40 years old, and in good condition for its age, but I would like it altered to my measurements. Nobody in my town is proficient in leather craft. and, as you might imagine, there's some sentimentality here, and I'm going to be super picky.
I thought I'd put it out to the NA community first, before diving into the greater interwebz.
TIA
@Vox I don't think an experienced leather worker would willingly alter aged leather. It would be a better option to have a new coat made in the same style and you wear it in.
What makes the coat special is your father. You could similarly make your own coat special. If cared for properly, it will likely be the last one you would need.
