@AmpBenzScientist there are of course benefits to having a single document to download for safe keeping, but at the same time, this is tech we're working with here. it's a bit ephemeral and things expire quickly.
@lore Blackfin isn't that much newer than JavaScript. It's odd to think about.
@lore PKK Milandir 1901ВЦ1Т might be a suitable or the Elbrus-90. The only problem is that they are Russian and the latter is used in the S-400 Missile Systems. Otherwise they should be able to kick AD to the curb for a lower cost.
Oddly enough I can't find Chinese equivalents. If you are willing to use a FPGA, I can possibly find something that is much closer to an acceptable price.
@lore I'm sure they would happily sell and answer questions. Pretty sure it would have to pass through China and not get seized. Idk you might get a few less chips than ordered with a note to not say anything about the missing chips and financial incentives to do as the note says. Maybe China buys those systems directly from Russia and it doesn't fit China 2025 guidelines.
@AmpBenzScientist we're subject to sanctions on trade with Russia. it seems problematic to use those.
i'm not familiar with these parts you're naming overall. the main concern is access to knowledge. if i can't figure them out, who do i ask?
it's not a problem for me to use parts that lack documentation, but in that case, the engineers who designed them would have to be on call 24/7.
