wouldn't hurt if more companies developed software for Linux, but if Apple users are the group that is most willing to pay for things, Linux users are probably the opposite extreme, with Microsoft users somewhere in between. very unattractive market.

@lore It's more an issue of Licensing than anything else. If a properly licensed software was sold, it could be compiled on the different operating systems. Companies are greedy and they don't want their precious code to be free. God forbid developers having to innovate at a rate that affects the profit.
