@thor @amerika I've been prescribed amphetamine for over 20 years now. For some people it is euphoric. It just helps me concentrate and reduces impulsivity. I enjoy working while on it but the side effects are rough. It kept me alive during some very bad times.

@thor @amerika it's Lysine, the amino acid. An odd side effect of this molecule is that absorption is close to 100%.

@thor @amerika I also have to add that amines smell like fish, it's pungent and makes the eyes water. Amine salts taste horrible and that chocolate would end up tasting odd in a distressing way. Shortly after that, the mouth might tingle or become a little numb.
The panzer chocolate had a larger dose than the regular pill if I recall correctly.

@thor @amerika It was racemic methamphetamine hydrochloride. The USA used Amphetamine in WW2 and I can't say that it has been completely phased out to this day.
Methamphetamine was more likely to cause problems like insubordination and violence while also leaving the soldiers nearly useless for a day.
The drugs have different properties but in low doses they both seem to be safe.

There's no reason why one shouldn't be allowed to buy either a local store.

@thor @amerika There's not a good way to get much more power from that engine. No turbo even if it is sleeved because it won't have the cooling capacity.

The new bug is more disappointing.

@amerika @thor They weren't legal for highway use because the top speed was a little over 50.

@thor @amerika Air-cooled Boxer engine with a standard transmission. The engine can be rebuilt without needing a shop on those.

@amerika @dew_the_dew @thor Deep south here and I worry more for electronics than my comfort when the AC dies. Sweat mostly doesn't evaporate here and most clothes trap heat when they are soaked. Temperatures outside mostly top out at 100F or a little more. Humidity is 60-80% but usually 80%.

@inference @frankie @thebiologist1117 If only there was a meme about degoogled air gaped AI Blockchain. It would be useful in so many conversations.

@inference @thor American, can confirm that old world feelings towards the French are still present.

@thor @inference I mentioned it to an Engineer from Norway who said it exists but mainly older people eat it on special occasions.

@thor @inference There's enough of the old stuff to discover still. All the Detroit house labels, Acid, and the stuff from the late 80s and early 90s. I think Tropical House emerged here too.

@thor @inference I wasn't allowed to watch much secular tv and I wasn't allowed to listen to secular music until I was around 16. I went to special camps and dying for one's faith was taught in a way that didn't imply martyrdom. I was allowed to watch Keenan and Kel because no matter how cult like the church was, it didn't tolerate racism in any form.

I don't know much about Norway except for derailing Germany's nuclear program, there are good Engineers there and Ludefisk.

@thor @inference The humorous part is that it's American owned but focused entirely on England. The style is a bit different and it seems like there's always something good coming out in the UK.

I can't say much about what the US puts out, I'm usually just disappointed.

@thor @inference I have imported many box sets from the UK over the years. I don't like how they have the mixes as streaming or mp3. I didn't import the box sets to put beside my Docs in my English collection. I ripped them as FLAC.

The Ministry of Sound is great. I say that as I'm listening to BBC Radio 1.

@inference @thor Ministry of Sound before Covid-19 caused them to consider quality again.
