@SrRochardBunson This is an oil lamp that has been in my family for generations. No one else wanted to worry about breaking the globe, so I guess I'm responsible. I'm not a collector but I treasure the one I have. My mom would remove the globe and hide it whenever children came to visit.
@clmorgan
Oh, that's really cool! Thanks. You have my hopes for a jackpot, and may all your trenches be tidy.
@SrRochardBunson
What an interesting thing to collect! I would not have thought of it. Am boosting to enhance your chances of encountering another enthusiast.
It's amazing the kinds of things that people can get interested in enough to start collecting and then wind up in one of three or four organizations that spring up organically. Just did a quick search and, sure enough, there's at least one Coleman collectors' association.
I don't think there's a club for this one yet, but I somehow managed to wind up with a small collection of vintage shoe clips. I won't bore you with the story of how that came to be, but it's a good example of how somebody can accidentally go from being a normal person to a collector. 😉

There's a point in there where the math doesn't add up and there would be leftover clay balls. This strikes me as funny, given his overall OCD style approach to detail. Something of a peculiar fellow!
@galand2dogs
My Leuchtterm was supposed to arrive today and I've been doing my finger exercises all day in preparation for the first impressions you'd asked me to pass along to you. What I got was an empty shipping envelope instead. Nothing is simple, nothing is easy. 🙄
If at first I don't succeed, fail, fail again.
Ordered another immediately and will see about the refund details on the morrow. Sorry for the delay; didn't want you to think I'd rudely forgotten you. 😉
I am still trying to get the hang of how everything works here, and there are probably like 1,000 of you that I am not following yet but should be. Reply to this post, like this post, or just send me a DM if you would like me to follow you back.
I am generally ok with following anyone as long as they aren't racist, sexist, transphobic, or ableist. Any one of those is a deal-killer.
@rayredacted
Just judging from this message, I think you'd be off to a great start by following these two prolific people of excellent taste: @donmelton and @harphat
As their well-chosen boosts cross your screen, follow anyone who seems interesting and you'll have a great feed in no time.This is what I did, not by design, but by happy accident. 😉
I'll tag along with you and let's see where we wind up! 🙂
@donmelton
Handbrake yay! I love that stuff, been using it a long time. Thanks very much for all you do, Mr. Don.
@juglugs
😜 Really strange feeling, ain't it? Glad it's not a common occurrence.
@Tony
True fact, and he has always been quite the insightful fellow.

Just a couple of days ago, I woke up from a nap at about 6PM and thought it was AM. Started the coffeemaker and my wife came into the room and gave me a very odd look. Never had that happen before; it was WIERD. Took a few minutes to get it through my head what time it really was.
(Sorry to tromp on your joke but the experience was still fresh.)

I'm a complete ignoramus about working with wood, and design in general. I enjoy seeing really nice things like that though. I'll do a little websearch on Maloof, thanks for the pointer!
@MDindar
WOW! Those lines are so graceful and elegant. The way the slight upcurve at the end of the arms echoes and draws attention to the curve of the seat/leg curve is really amazing. Very well done!
Sometimes, concept to reality is a long journey. But it is beautiful thing, when things come together.
Here is a lounge chair I built lately, to sit and watch the weather change outside my window. Maybe it needs a matching ottoman? Let me know what you think of it.

Wouldn't want to disappoint the kids on Xmas morning, after all.
(Nice catch, by the way-- I don't know that I'd have noticed that.)

Interesting: if you look at the timeline, it appears the shooter(s) took time off for the holidays.
