I’ve reached the point in my packing journey where I’m tossing just about everything into plastic bags labeled “stuff” except for stuff I recognize from my inventory report, which I’m tossing into a bag labeled “inventory stuff”.

of course i would manage to find the Oddly Specific Thing We Don’t Know What It Is, and not any of the vastly more useful gadgets that have disappeared in the multiple cross-country moves.

Maybe the single object I’m saddest about misplacing in these moves is my Pocket Op Amp Lab. I first saw this thing in a Hackster post by @baldengineer, and of course I immediately built one. Honestly it finally taught me how op amps work (I’m a tactile learner, I don’t grok it until I FAFO). This would be a wildly useful gadget to have on hand for the new role I’m about to have; alas, I haven’t seen it in almost a year. Suppose I’ll have to build another one! hackster.io/news/diy-pocket-op
