Yes exactly right, and with battery prices dropping even apartment dwellers will be able to start having them in order to store the electricity from the sun during the day in order to use it in the evening.
But the major benefit from #solar plus #batteries will be to reduce the amount of power that has to be transferred on our grids since it is going to take a while to build new transmission.
