...one more thing: that "Sukiyaki" isn't about restaurant food, and that it has become immortalized in Japan when it's sung every year when the New Year rings in.
I suspect it's because Kyu Sakamoto is now Japan's version of the day the music died...by plane crash. You'll never be forgotten, certainly not by me, Kyu. Forever young.
