I just wanna post about tonight's #StephenColbert show, the next-to-last final show. Well, I do mean a commercial that showed, actually...

I don't know how old the script writer is for General Insurance ads, but that thing referenced a musical stage play that dates back to the 1920s...so how the hell did the writer figured the reference would ring any bells today???

Shaq was in the ad, standing next to a humongous Transformer type gigantic robot who broke out in song: "My Hero". That, friends & neighbors, is a song from "Chocolate Soldier". I know this because I'm familiar with a movie spoof of it made starring Nelson Eddy & Rise Stevens, of the same name, and the song was sung in that too.

And it's a rare person today that knows who the hell Nelson Eddy is.
