Food Recalls are a good thing. It means the system is working. There have always been, and will always be food safety issues for a bounty of reasons. Having a system that finds and addresses them is amazing. You are not going to like what it looks like when they are deregulated.

The body of an #Ukraine journalist Victoria Roschina who recently died in #Russia custody has not been returned to family since 10 October when Russian side officially notified of her death. Family is concerned that Russians will hold the body for such a long time to make it impossible to establish the cause of death. The journalist had been listed for exchange in September and her transfer to Moscow from prison in Taganrog was most likely related to the planned exchange. Her death on the way is therefore highly suspicious, especially as Taganrog prison is notoriously known for violence and torture of prisoners.

Rivian Automotive Inc. won preliminary approval for a $6.6 billion federal loan that would support the construction of an electric-vehicle factory the company put off building earlier this year to save money.

The loan, which includes $6 billion of principal and around $600 million of capitalized interest, would come from the US Energy Department’s "Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing" program.

Rivian Chief Executive Officer RJ Scaringe said the funds would enable the company to “more aggressively scale” production of cheaper electric sport utility vehicles.
