Rogers just announced it has sold its entire minority stake in Cogeco to the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec for $829 million. Will use money to pay down debt. Cogeco in turn is buying those shares for cancellation, and will sell CDPQ shares in subsidiary Cogeco Communications.

"Elise Stefanik doesn’t actually care about Jews. What she believes in is ethnonationalism. She believes in a white Christian state in the United States. And she’s sympathetic to forces in Israel that believe in a Jewish supremacist state, because fundamentally she’s hostile to the basic principle that people should be treated equally under the law irrespective of race, religion or ethnicity."

Great news for Europe. Today the Polish parliament formally elected the pro-EU politician Donald Tusk as prime minister.

Gone are now the days of the PiS Government, who were anti-abortion, anti-LGBT, Christian nationalists who sent Poland on a collision course with the EU by attacking their own justice system and human rights.

I seriously hope, Mr. Tusk is the right man to end the transport blockade of Ukraine and get the flow of aid back on track.

Warn others if you see it happening to them.

Again, I want to stress that I am in no way saying that all criticism of Israel is antisemitic. That is a wildly irresponsible (not to mention pro-genocide) thing to say.

…ingratiate them with their current audience. They don't actually care about or believe half of the words they vomit onto the Internet.

I just wanted to warn people.

The liberal/left-to-fascism pipeline may be smaller than the right-to-fascism pipeline, but it does exist, and if you're not aware of it, you could be more vulnerable to it.

If you start seeing broader and more unhinged criticisms of Israel in your feed from new contacts, pay extra attention, please.

…that includes a lot of Nazis and relatively little moderation.

Out of all the people I have seen criticize Israel over their treatment of Palestinians, only two people ended up sucked down a path that led to spewing Nazi conspiracy theories. From my admittedly anecdotal observations, it is incredibly rare.

Cryptofascists can turn up anywhere. Yes, it is inconsistent that they both celebrate Israel for what they do to Palestinians and criticize them for it. They say whatever will…

The pipeline appears to be smaller than the "politically incorrect" pipeline that sucks in people from the right, but it's worth pointing out that there is a pipeline that targets us, and sometimes, it really does work.

I feel it is worthwhile to point this out and warn people, and mention that it is irresponsible for this article to make it sound like that doesn't happen.

But I also want to mention that I've seen this happen with a grand total of two people on a platform…

…the path don't realize it until they are hip deep in white supremacy.

There is a similar "pipeline" that targets leftists and liberals, and it starts with genuine criticism of how Israel treats Palestinians. Little by little, the criticisms of Israel branches out to other topics, until eventually, the person is spewing Nazi conspiracy theories about George Soros and other nonsense. I've seen it happen on social media.

The things being shared on one's feed gets more and more unhinged.

This article is well worth reading, but I want to make one little correction.

There is a definite link between criticism of Israel's oppression of Palestinians and antisemitism, but it is wildly irresponsible to suggest that all criticism of the way Israel treats Palestinians is inherently antisemitic.

I hope you're already aware of the "pipeline" that starts with edgy anti-SJW "humor" that leads to all-out fascism. It works on gracias steps, and those on…

Finally, there were a surprising number of talks on the merits of IP vs. ATM, on both sides of the argument. Hard to believe that ATM ever had such a bright future (in the eyes of many) given that it now occupies a small space in the set of technologies that sit underneath IP. It turned out that we didn't need fixed length packets to build high speed networks! Full story in our newsletter: open.substack.com/pub/systemsa /fin
