I tend to apply a lot of pushback on nuanced sophistry because COVID-19 kind of taught me that if you dismiss seemingly harmless sophistry like "oh it's not like I'm against COVID-19 vaccines or vaccines in general, I'm just not for mandatory vaccination rules", it won't take long for it to mushroom into a full blown anti-vaxx movement in your family and neighbourhood. Even amongst medical colleagues! So yeah, I'm "rude" I guess 😑.
