our microwave (built in, came with the house, probably 20-25 years old?) is a little wonky and sometimes seems to not recognize the door is fully closed, so the magnetron clicks a bunch and doesn't start up, but the fan and light turn on and the tray spins as though it's cooking.

the only solution I've found that consistently fixes this is to stop the microwave, hit the door, then turn it back on again. it works every time. percussive maintenance is real and it's great :BurningElmo:
