Well, folks, it's like this-- appears to be overly hobbled. It'll read what's on the Fediverse and it'll Notify me when somebody else comments on a post I've Favorited, but nothing is getting out from FMP to the Fediverse, second day going.

Can anyone recommend a Friendica instance that is operating properly and is reliable?

bluesky blocklist abuse

It has been 3 days since I made a joke about how easy it could be to abuse blocklists on Bluesky (anyone can set one up and you can opt in to automatically block/mute everyone on the list), and now I have seen that someone is running a massive list accusing hundreds of people of supporting/distributing CSAM. The list is partly automated, and also anyone who disagrees with their use of the list gets added to it.

No way this could go badly, nope, none.

Excellent advice regarding uspol...

It’s sorta frustrating that I have someone I used to follow muted because recently all I saw, was people retweeting them complaining about someone they had blocked, as though the rest of us were to blame.

Too complicated to try to filter it out.

You know what was ridiculed constantly in the 90s but no one makes fun of anymore?

Boxed wine.

Is there more appreciation for cost efficiency now, or is it my hunch that the world is so screwed up that 750ml isn't enough to cope anymore?

Avi Loeb of the Galileo Project spoke about the need to analyze normal sky patterns in order to detect anomalies using machine learning. Seems realistic, scientists, public.

But somehow “pattern of life analysis” sounds rather sinister when the US puts satellites up for supposedly that.

And yet, after USAF apparently shot down surprise balloons (and “balloons”) at great expense, I bet there was a lot of pressure to avoid being embarrassed by undetected intrusions again. toot.cafe/@JesseSkinner/113496
