I dabbled with a QTS.

I found the school I was at dishonest, the teaching mentor out of her depth, the facilities poor. Fortunately my wife is,a teaching mentor so had professional support and passed the PGCE modules before I was terminated.

It was a useful experience. Albeit a tad costly.

I loved being with the students, I found the culture of the teaching vocation not my cup of tea.

SYNOPSIS:

RATIONALE:

As a Scottish bloke I see similarities with the Irish diaspora that migrated to Scotland's Central belt catholics are okay as friends, protestants can't be trusted etc. Or the grocer is now an Indian and other such nostalgic culturally sculpted opinions.

EXPERIENCES:

Then I recall various vacations in mid Wales, North Devon, North Wales, the Islands of my birth nation.

The locals initially suspicious, relaxed when you reached out with direct, respectful humour (I am autistic so sometimes I miss the human cues especially when best not to respond!).
