@DavidBond @Breakfast they *are* allowed to choose for themselves, because our federations policies are clearly stated in our about and registration page. people who sign up for this instance know what to expect, and that includes some blocks for domains that are well known to house mostly trolls

with that being said, the blocklist here is fairly light compared to some mastodon instances, but i think we're probably one of the better moderated pleroma instances aside from pleroma.site

allright fair enough, from a users perspective I can't tell you how unbelievably annoying it is losing communication with a few friends in another instance just because an admin decided to block an ENTIRE server over 1 person being annoying.
