@greeneralia It would certainly be long. The OT not only has violent stories, which we are supposed to admire, but also religious admonitions that I would include for their violent attittudes and punishments.

Hmm - not sure even at the time we were meant to admire the violence -and eg Jezebel + the one who asked for the head of John the Baptist were meant to be horror stories?
Rather like the remark of a presumably apocryphal Victorian matron: "So unlike the home life of our own dear Queen", in response, say, to 'Titus Andronicus'?
