I exercise a lot and eat healthily, but the roll around my middle remains. I call it the unbudging pudge, and I don't mean that affectionately.

Three people were killed by police in the US.
A football player suffered cardiac arrest during a game.
Which of these received the most press coverage? Which is the most important for today and the future?

For a nothingburger, the January 6 committee has turned out to be quite the whopper.
It's striking that there are a lot of old people who watched small changes happening around them during their lifetimes, resulting in a world where they feel like strangers, who reject the idea that even smaller changes, accumulating over far vaster periods of time, can result in the creation of new species and the disappearance of old ones. #evolution

If Trump does end up being charged with serious Federal crimes, it will be amusing to see him gritting his teeth and back DeSantis, the rival he hates, for president in hopes of getting a presidential pardon.

I am disgusted with Microsoft. At every ethical juncture--and there were many--Microsoft and Mecklenburg County made the unethical decision--the racist decision. The "put the corporation interest above the poor" decision. This just came out yesterday and I think it needs to be shared widely. Is Microsoft incapable of doing the right thing?

One of the worst aspects of the torrent of drivelly Christmas music whenever I make the mistake of turning on the radio is that it creates earworms of music I detest. Some of it does have pleasant tunes, but even the nicest tunes become noxious eventually when they're earworms.
It doesn't even take the radio: sometimes, just the mention of a Christmas tune will do it.
On the bright side, no one has mentioned Rudolph, the Red-Nosed--
