My downstairs neighbour cuts his grass with a lawnmower.

Sorry, I mean to say that my downstairs neighbour cuts his woodchip covered grass with a lawnmower. The moment he starts all you hear is the sound of the woodchips being violently thrashed by the blades. He does this every two weeks. The lawnmower jams, often.

Usually don't judge people, but fuck him for being a ninny.

@brandon yeah! He should use scissors, or better yet, just soak everything with glyphosphate!

@Demosthenes Or maybe he should just redo the "lawn" to not have grass?

@brandon you're upset that he isn't maintaining his lawn the way you would. That's a bit... Er... I'm not sure what a good word for it would be. Overbearing?

@Demosthenes Nah, I'm upset that he's destroying a perfectly good lawnmower that he has no need for.

He could save himself the trouble of maintaining the lawn in the first place too by just not having grass :P

Plus, the noise just....argh it's so piercing

@brandon but he does have a need for a lawn mower. To cut his grass that he chooses to have. I don't see why you would be upset at someone for doing what they like with their own property.

@brandon @Demosthenes Or just mod the lawnmower to have the blades cut a little higher, so they don't hit the woodchips?

@wizzwizz4 Unfortunately woodchips are light enough that the length he wants his lawn to be (and the frequency at which he mows) means that the height of the mower is either inconsequential to the effect on the woodchips or leaves the grass at an unsatisfactory length
