Used to talk about civil war years back. Hard to believe but, here we are. God help us. One side desperately wants destruction. The other wants peace and order. November will decide how fast it all moves forward. I will not apologize, nor back down from believing in Americanism. Nor for believing in God and inalienable rights coming from the Creator and Sovereign of the universe. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. If that makes me a radical, so be it.

@Ray_Frigon both sides are escalating tensions pretty significantly. To blame just one side for it is silly IMO

One side has started the upheavals, with no data to back up their mob mentality but, plenty of money behind them, and Democrat endorsements. The other side is being forced into defending themselves, their property, their businesses, their neighborhoods. How then, is this a two-sided event for blame? Name the Conservatives demonstrating and destroying property at will in the last 12 years. "Blame" is subjective. Objectively, only one side is seen tearing down America. @Demosthenes

@Ray_Frigon using the police and federal agents to suppress peaceful protests in Washington DC was an escalation. To have the president threaten to not concede the election if he loses is an escalation. To publicly question the legitimacy of the election is an escalation.

The protests started in response to police brutality, and they continue because the issues have not been addressed.

@Demosthenes Peaceful protests? Seriously? Surely, you jest. Trump threatening to not concede? When? Dems have questioned the legitimacy of the 2016 election for four years! The "protests" began because BLM and Antifa saw an opening and took it. That's how it all turned into rioting, looting, destruction of property, harm and death to innocents. Now, we have a civil war developing. Police depts. being told to stand down but, arresting those defending themselves and their property.

@Ray_Frigon i wouldn't call them peaceful now, but they certainly were in DC when trump had the police tear gas the crowds just to have a photo op at a church. If people's rights get suppressed, there's gonna be pushback.

"Don't Tread On Me" doesn't only apply to Republicans. ;)

@Demosthenes What?!? The church was damaged by these "peaceful protesters" before Trump went to it. The crowds gathered with no uncertain attitude towards POTUS. Secret Service admitted to using pepper spray. Is there any video evidence of tear gas being used and rubber bullets?

@Ray_Frigon using minor petty vandalism of a small area as justification of the suppression of the constitutional rights is like using shootings as justification to remove our guns. It's a silly, slippery slope.

I never said rubber bullets were used. The tear gas is clearly visible in the videos.

@Demosthenes S.S. gets to determine threats to POTUS and act accordingly. "Petty vandalism" is also something loosely defined these days. Looking at video of the church, I would hardly call it petty. On the other hand, given the general def. of "petty," most of what is happening is petty. BLM org has no data to show the continual police brutality they claim. The aim is to bring down America. "Re-imagine it." A petty claim for totally unreasonable response.

@Ray_Frigon BLM organizing and pushing for political change is about as American as it gets. To use that fact as a reason to suppress them is shameful and UNamerican.

@Demosthenes Having been to the BLM website, I must disagree with your assessment. This is far more than intended political change. Even Dems know all the rioting, looting, destruction and "death to America" chants are not only, not working but, working against them. The BLM org is unAmerican. As is Antifa. As is, obviously, Soros and his money backing it all. NOBODY wants police to kill ANYBODY without warrant. You do not burn down cities to protest rogue officers/depts. THAT's UNAMERICAN.

@Ray_Frigon peaceful protests were met with violence nationwide. Cops teargassed thousands of people.

If cops tried to unconstitutionally take our guns, would you cower down? Or would you fight?

@Demosthenes Again, "peaceful" is the debated term. I have yet to see demonstration of peaceful protests met with violence, let alone all the video of violent protests with police standing around watching. From the point of view of order and civility, any demonstration of protest involving harm to anything physical, should be met with instant physical response. In almost all cities run by Dems, no such case. In Louisville, swift response. Horses are out of the barn, now. Way past Floyd, etc.

@Demosthenes I do not see cops trying to take guns. Dems, yes. When a police state becomes reality, Americans are not giving up their firearms. I believe you know that.
