When Democrats say they are tired of old white men leadership... are they forgetting Barack Obama was President for 8 years... or acknowledging he also did nothing to help minority communities?

@Dawnz no, they've been lied to by academia and institutions of power that racism is more than just discrimination due to race.

When I was raised, I was told that we should be judged not by the color of our skin but the character of our heart. Color blindness was the goal. Now because I don't think that people of certain races deserve special treatment, I am considered racist.

I've come to realize that politics and history is only based off of power and that which can be leveraged. The hijacking of the political system by zealots(on both sides!) I fear will be our doom.

@Demosthenes
I was raised the same as you, Im just starting to figure out why Im considered a racist now..Its aquired a new meaning by them.,Hopefully it wont be our doom and things/attitudes change 😢

@Dawnz I agree. Accelerationists who say they look forward to a civil war are fools who haven't studied history or really understand the true cost of such an event. Trouble is that I don't see an avenue for change through the system. We need to move to a multi-party system to allow for more nuanced views to be viable, but that would require a constitutional amendment which neither side is incentivized to make.

@Demosthenes @Dawnz

America is a colorblind society.
America is the land of equal opportunity.
America is the land of individual liberty and freedom - and responsibility.

Anyone who doesn't like it can climb up on a soapbox in Bughouse Square and let rip.

It's a free country.
