The steam controller is pretty cool, and I see the effort steam put in to their controller configurator.
But, hhh, it's still a device proprietarily locked to steam config in a way that is anti-accessibility. 😠
It uses some backchannel to talk to steam, which in turn sends input directly to games by some kind of software hook.
Instead of being a normal controller that normal accessibility software can interface with.
I haven't really figured a way out of this that doesn't sacrifice the ability to use gyro.
Welp. Oh well. I ended up ordering one of those DS4 addons https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49230057147_47cd1a8d46_h.jpg
so I can have an extra paddle button to work with on a controller with gyro.
