Was so conflicted about #3, even now that I know it's not true I am still so conflicted. And, ofc, that feels super shitty but that's the problem with having such a compromised yet all encompassing site like 4chan.

Like, people on /m/ just compiled a complete collection of Mitsuteru Yokoyama's works, that's not going to happen anywhere else because it's way too niche and way too illegal but, imo, that sort of archival is super important work.

And maybe that means keep 4channel trash 4chan but idk if some ridiculously niche part of the "problematic" (read: crypto fash or obviously illegal or both) boards are hosting something interesting. Probably not? I haven't been on those boards in a literal decade but they certainly used to.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is 4chan getting axed is going to benefit corporate anti-piracy concern trolling interests as much as it benefits us or probably way more because the fash element is just going to run to 8kun if they haven't already.

And then the question becomes "is /pol/ 'less' radical than 8kun" is it a "breeding ground" for more radical thought and honestly, at least in my opinion, it's all far, far off the deep end already.
