Sorry, a bit of a rant (okay, more than a bit)

My is 6 years old. My team has had a major leak in the ceiling all year. A falling ceiling tile almost hit a student, and she currently has 12 buckets catching water. She has to come in on the weekends to empty them.

We've had a lot of rain this week, and the problem is now endemic in the hallway. All the exterior rooms either have leaking roofs, water seeping up from the floor, or water coming in at the windows. It has gotten so bad that every exterior classroom has to be moved so Maintenance can start ripping out carpet, drywall, and ceilings.

A 6 year old building that has settled so much that a hunk of it is unusable. They are going to have to re-do the soil engineering, put on a new roof (this time, not totally flat), and rebuild the interior. It's so bad that the State cut a check overnight to start the process of rebuilding. That is unheard of, even though it is WAAAAYYYY less than the probably $3-4 million the restoration is going to cost.

And I have to buy my own copy paper ...

@hasmis Rural Arizona. They built the school in a flood plain.
