I am looking around at some SCUBA options and on google maps looking at St. Maarten. Apparently there is a store called "Octopus Diving & Snorkling" and I am just sitting here thing, what sorts of things do octopus need to buy to go snorkling?

@freemo
Well if you decide to get into pcp airguns, the electric pumps that fill them can also be used to fill scuba tanks. Been using a hand pump but scuba diving might be my excuse for getting an electric one.

@Diptchip @freemo I was thinking PCP, myself. But they are expensive and I do not have a pressing need around the house. Here's what I was considering: https://www.airgundepot.com/benjamin-marauder-pump-combo-wood.html

Honestly, the only thing that stopped me from getting the pistol version was that it is bolt action and not lever action. The Flashpup I had, had trouble chambering the pellets I was casting. The two new airguns I got are lever action and chamber the pellets without problem.

A good pcp rifle will fill the niche of any .22 LR, but if you cast your own pellets, you will no longer rely on a supply chain for ammunition. Last I checked, ammo was scarce and overpriced. I used subsonic .22 LR nearly exclusively, so the power difference is negligible. Like .22 LR, it's not something you'd want to rely on to defend yourself with, but what I've got will take down most small game without a problem. They're also really freaking quiet.
