Whats the best software to record a powerpoint presentation along with the image of the speaker?

ffmpeg could probably do that, the screen and the webcam at the same time.
Or just use a screen recorder for the slides and shoot the speaker with a separate cam, then put it together the way you want it in post.
@DrFunkySpoon OBS is free and worth a shot. Coming from broadcast tools I found it a bit opaque, but you can get it to do almost anything if you can wrap your head around the UI.
