Different 'servers' or instances connecting with each other!

@stux what happens if the person running the server you’re on decides to stop doing so? Could I just cease to exist on here at the pull of a plug?! 🤔😬 #existentialcrisis

@DrK @stux I believe so. Worth having more than one account. I opened this one very recently, the first one, with mstdn.social, some months ago. Not yet sure how to transfer info (including followers/followees) between instances though.

@Carlotta @stux hmmm 🤔 I managed to transfer from one server to another soon after joining and brought my followers across but seemed to lose people I was following (who weren’t following me) and also can’t bring any posts across. Wouldn’t fancy doing that once I’ve been on here a while!
