A mob of red deer stags in Richmond Park, they were on the edge of the woods and unless you stopped to look from most angles they were perfectly hidden, I crouched down to take the shot, that's when I could see how many there were (shot with a long lens it looks like I was a lot closer than I actually was). #RichmondPark #RedDeer #Stags #RedStags #WildLifePhotography #Nature #Photography #AltText

in a microcosm of the nhs this week we ran out of nurses in theatre (0 striking, 14 off sick = 4 theatres out of use) but in a blinding stroke of luck the HVAC that should have been replaced 10 years ago (“austerity”), wasn’t, so failed catastrophically taking 4 of the 8 main theatres from 21° to 6° in moments and rendering them unusable. So staffing and resource were in perfect harmony.

Matt Hancock should face one trial.
In West Suffolk. At the ballot box. Against me. And for each vote I get, he has to eat a Wuhan bat’s penis. Reblog if you agree. #ImACeleb

interesting. I worry the nhs has made a strategic error in trying to segregate elective care: there is an idea that surgicentres and the like will protect elective care and keep the nhs running. The sad reality is there is not enough acute provision, and the more elective care is hived off the less capacity there is to deal with increased pressure on acutes. Yes, it was messy when we couldn’t operate in winter because our beds were full of pneumonia, but not as bad as having ambulances queuing down the street.

@LauraParkerUX what an excellent idea! I try and explain risks to people (deciding on surgery or not) and it is so difficult. Tried lots of ways not found the perfect way yet.

Hello everyone 👋

For months I've worked on a poster about designing for users with dyscalculia and low numeracy.

Today it's ready.

designnotes.blog.gov.uk/2022/1

Please use it to improve your service for people who struggle with numbers.

I'm happy to chat to anyone about the poster or what it's like living with dyscalculia.

Created with colleagues Rachel Malic and Jane McFadyen at DWP and HMRC.

Funny how if billionaires leave b/c Govt raises billionaire taxes, it’s Govt’s fault—but as teachers leave because Govt won’t raise teacher salaries, it’s the teachers fault.🤔

Protecting billionaires & exploiting teachers in poverty is class warfare against working people.
