I think the massive COVID-19 epidemic in China is really quite worrying. A confluence of really bad factors:
- low vaccine uptake in older people
- no existing immunity
- long time since vaccine rollout
- very low booster rates
In addition, the government is still quite clearly lying about their death figures, which is problematic to say the least #COVID19 #China #epidemiology
@gidmk do you have evidence about gov lying, or older people being in need of booster shots of the domestically-developed vaccines? I doubt it, but you’re welcome to provide evidence to support your claims.
Otherwise, #propaganda is just another form of lying. Unbefitting of a #journalist.

There are widely available photos and videos of mass graves, hospitals packed wall to wall, and stories of crematoriums unable to keep up.
Yet, supposedly, only a few people in all of China have died this month, out of 1.4 billion people.
We can maybe trust previous China data, at least 80% or so, but nothing over the past month.
