@haven4books @actuallyautistic Perhaps, for sensory reasons, some autistics can only tolerate smaller in-ear devices. Less pressure against ear canal wall?
@EubieDrew @haven4books @actuallyautistic I cannot have anything touching my ears. Cannot. Headphones and earmuffs can be okay as long as they only touch the sides of my ears, and then firmly.
@peppernut @EubieDrew @haven4books @actuallyautistic I definitely have sensory issues with them if I wear them for more than a few minutes. So I end up alternating between hearing things that make me miserable and feeling things that make me miserable.
@hosford42 @EubieDrew @haven4books @actuallyautistic I am okay if it fits firmly, so there isn't that weird squicky tickle, and around the ear only not in it. The issue with that is that I wear glasses and it crushes the arms into the side of my head and it hurts. Sometimes I have to take off the glasses, and that's not a great solution for many reasons.
@EubieDrew Very good possibility from my own experience. I loathe in-ear headphones for this reason.
